Sadowsky necks

I'd really like to hear more about this, I found the sadowsky 5 string neck thread informative; but then, I'm not interested in five strings.
They are based on Fender string spacing, 3/4", and if you're talking about thickness, they are super comfortable. I would never use CHUNKY to describe the feel of a Sadowsky neck. Play one before you buy one, but I'm pretty sure if you played one you'de be happy.
The nut and bridge widths on a sadowsky are both wider than a stingray, so they feel very different! Both basses are very comfortable to play for me. The sadowsky neck profile is "moderate" ... not super thin, not super thick from front to back, and it fills your hand without feeling bulky.
+1 The Sadowsky 5 necks have a very unique feel.... very wide bridge spacing (.19, as mentioned above), but 34" scale, and a relatively flat profile.
The best of all worlds IMO... plenty of room at the bridge for any sort of technique you could think of, but relatively small at the nut, normal 34" scale, and a flat profile plus 12" radius... very comfortable and no 'left hand fatigue' IMO.

that flat profile is a 12" radius fretboard ... not exactly flat by a long shot. sure, compared to a 7-1/2" radius or 9" radius it's flat ... but there are many other basses out there with larger radius (i.e. 'flatter') fretboards

The relatively flat profile I was referring to was the back of the neck. I listed the 12" radius as a separate spec in describing these basses (hence the 'plus a 12" radius). That 'relatively flat' radius combined with the relatively flat back-of-the-neck profile really results in an easily playable neck compared to most others I've played.

I really like the 4 string Sadowsky neck. I have 2 presently. One is similar to a late 60's jazz, the other is thinner and even faster feeling

I agree with the above posters: Rogers necks are very comfortable. I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my fretting wrist and Rogers basses are a god-send.

The profiles aren't that much different. IMO, they're medium: not slim, not chunky. As I recall, the SR5 profile is a little rounder... whereas the Sadowsky profile is more oval.
As I've noted elsewhere, I love the asymmetrical profile necks I've played: MTD, Fender RB5. The Sadowsky has the most comfortable symmetrical profile I've played... period!
