I apologize it was K-Line guitars that made those comments not Suhr. My brain doesn't work so well these days. This was his exact comment.

"Very brittle. Also had three go backbow on me in the last year. I did not do too many to begin with but the rate of failure is not great. Also tends to develop small hairline cracks even with oversize tapped holes and wax on the screws. Not worth the hassle. And every time I sanded it I got a craving for waffles!"

According to Andy Irvine’s Facebook, all-new MetroExpress basses coming out soon.

-Roasted Maple neck as standard
-Detailed fretwork (whatever that means)
-Noise cancelling pickups
-Copper shielding
-Quick access cover battery compartment
-GENUINE SADOWSKY LOGO ON HEADSTOCK

If the QC is good; these could be winners.

I really want to see those!

For purely aesthetic reasons, I don't want a roasted neck. If all of these have a roasted neck, I'm most likely not looking to get one. Which stinks because I was excited about the decal. Oh well.

I loved my Verdine White Metro Express. I did the VTC mod and gigged with the bass for years. I retired it today and replaced it with a Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas. It was marked as clearance $499. I got $20 back on the deal too, which went to buying strings. Good upgrade!
