Hello learned colleages...
I just bought a SBP4K and I'm trying to wire it up. I assume, like with the Audere it's replacing (bass took a spill, wiped out the volume pot, and now they're OOB
) all the ground wires get tied together. I did that, and plugged it in. Just buzz.
Opened up the control plate while it was plugged in to see if a wire came loose, and inadvertently touched the pickup with the plate... Voila! Hum gone, bass sounds great. So this tells me that there's a grounding problem.
Problem is, I don't know where to attach a ground wire to the plate. The schematic provided with the preamp is ambiguous... and it's written in German. Scoured the interwebs, found diagrams for just about everything except the SBP4K.
If there's anyone out there who's familiar with this piece... I'd really appreciate some guidance. Thanks in advance.
Your pal,
Mikey
