Sadowsky strings

Anybody know who made/makes Sadowsky steels? I've been using them for some time and dig them, but they don't seem to be available these days. Thanks in advance.

No idea who makes them. Sadowsky would not disclose that info.

The old Black Label flats (now discontinued) used to be made by La Bella, but as far as I know, not anymore. But I could be wrong...

I used to get them direct from Sadowsky and when you bought a box they were a great deal, but they haven't been on his website for a bit.

Blue or black label?

I used them and also heard they were made by Labella. I love the black label nickels. I buy them direct from Warwick or Fret Nation.

I also would say that they have a different eq response. Blue label rounds seem to favor less zing and more mids while black label favors more zing and less mids. The thing I wonder is if the same string builders make both of them.

I cant agree more! You are absolutely right. Thats the reason why I prefer the black over the blue.
