Safe to run a vintage GK 800RB without a speaker load?

I don't know much about the electronics of such things, and I've already blown this amp up once due to hooking an incorrect ohm load to the speaker outputs... so I'm a bit leary of trying new things.

I'm getting a powered speaker to run with my Radial PZ-Deluxe pre-amp on my NS WAV4 EUB. And since the powered speaker has 2 channels, I'd like to explore using just my 800RB head and running it into the 2nd channel of the powered speaker, which would allow me to run both rigs thru 1 single speaker cabinet on stage.

So my question is -- will it do any harm to the 800RB to run it without having a speaker load hooked to it? And pardon me in advance if it's a stupid question, but I just don't want to take *any* chances of blowing it up again! ;-)

(Eventually, my plan is to replace the 800RB with a GK-Plex, but for now I can't afford both the powered speaker *and* the Plex at the same time)
