Samick valley arts pro 5

So I found a really cool Samick 5string as my title suggests,it's got a push/pull active passive knob which I find really cool. I love just about everything about this bass it's a see thru black finish,nice neck shape and real easy to play. The only thing I don't like is the active sound the preamp makes,it almost makes the bass sound like a toy,it's just this cheap electric,I don't know what I think they where attempting a piano sound,or an organ maybe once again idk. I want to switch the electronics to something better,I was going to go with emg GZRs but their passive ,anyone have any suggestions? I string this one(I have3 5strings) E/A/D/G/C , if that helps anything,and I'd like to go solderless if I can. Thanks in advance for suggestions. I'm open to boutique and no name pickups also
