San Diego Bassists

I'm in north county these days, but too busy for gigs lately. Last year I was playing with a band down in La Jolla a bit.

Agreed, both Fred(Repair Zone) and George do great work, never been to Top Gear though.

Top Gear is great. They do fantastic work.... Tim knows his way around an SS amplifier, Tube amp, whatever...that's for sure.

The 6-8 week wait time? Not so cool. Last time i took my old 800RB there for a new power switch and some blown transistors took almost 2 solid months to get back. The amp guy at Guitar Trader did the same repair in a week (minus the new power switch). The negative with Guitar Trader is that its a $100 Bench Check no matter what. What cost me $80 (and almost 2 months) at Top Gear was $100 at Guitar Trader. However, I'll gladly pay $20 more to get something back in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm in school at National and live right by the Alvarado Medical Center.

I did my MBA at National and it was a great program. Much more intense than either of my other Master's (Experimental Psychology and Library and Information Science).

Unfortunately Breakhouse has been struggling with long distance band members as of late so our gigging has been quiet lately.

Hey you guys! Anyone interested i've got a FREE SHOW this Sunday at Bar Dynamite on Washington St. Next door to Lucha Libre (look it up... f'in rocks!!). We have DJ's and an art show happening too. We play around 6:00-6:30pm, DJ's start at 5:00. Posted a flyer for Sunday.

The next week, Friday May 10th, my other band will be at 710 Club with a VERY special guest drummer. I can only give one clue...... "Everyday Sunshine". OH YEAH!!!!

If you know what i'm getting at, it's gonna be big!
