Sandberg California 2 TM4 Pickup Height

Hey,

I use a Sandberg California TM4 and I try to find out the right pickup height for my playing style.

At first I thought I could adjust the pickups like my old Jazz Bass (for the neck Pickup) and my Stingray (for the bridge Pickup). That was a fault ;-). Too much output for my feel.

Then I tried out lower positions with this result (by pressing the string on the last fret):

Neck bass side 5,5 / bridge side 4,5mm
Bridge bass side 4,5 / bridge side 3,5mm

This is a good setup but I'm very interested in which setup do you use...

I would be glad If you can post your experience with adjusting your Sandberg TM4.

Sorry that nobody has responded to you until now.

I'm playing a Sandberg California PM4 (from before the rename), with flatwounds, so slightly different pickup height setup.

Neck: E=3,5 A=3,25, D=3,0, G=2,75
Bridge: E=2,75, G=2,25

I've found that when I push the bridge pickup farther away from the strings, it loses its bite.
