The finish on that bass looks incorrect too. I am not a Sandberg expert, but something does look off about that bass. I suggest buying a used one from Guitar Center. You have at least 30 days to play it and you can return it to ANY Guitar Center. For Returns, you will be on the hook for shipping, but GC's shipping to the store setup means that cost is under $40.

The finish, bridge, and knobs look right.
I thought that there might be those 4 dots near the upper horn but mine isn't here at the moment.
Decal is correct too.
Can't imagine anyone would go to too much trouble to bootleg a $750 bass.
At least that's what the cost when I bought mine and I have the P too.

Hi, pickguard on the upper horn should curve in to meet the neck and should also have the 4 silver dots in that area. As you can see, the pickguard on this one curves away from the neck and you don't have the 4 silver dots. Why not send photos to Sanberg and ask them to verify.

This is exactly how the older generation of Electra TTs looked.

The bridge and control plate look correct and are unique to Sandbergs.

You're right about the fret markers, but I bet these are stickers that can be removed.

Sandberg moved to a more unique body shape around 2014, so this one was probably made around/before then. I had a VS4 that was DEFINITELY closer to Fender shape than the round bottom that Sandberg has now.
