I got a VT v2 last year and it is stunning. I also use a BDDI, and i'd say it revolutionised my gigs!

I will be picking one of these up...purely because I love these Tech 21 pedals.

I (strongly) disliked the voicing of the VT Deluxe. I wonder with the addition of the "blend" knob and the dedicated Mid if it would help me dial it in better.

I love my RBI and BDDI and have been reading and trying to find a VT Bass pedal to try out. Would anyone who's tried / used both be able to point out some of the differences or similarities? Best tones? Love the SVT sound and dial in something like that on my RBI now.

OMG my dreams have come true! I have the most serious GAS pains rt now! I am getting this, soon! I was bouncing between a couple bass DI boxes and my mind is made up. thanx MUNJI your the bomb. Mowburger is about to start ignition sequence and burn a celebratory one, to celebrate the arrival of my future DI! ...which will be arriving? I can wait I guess.

I agree about the mid sweep-and Ive posted this many times. I wish more companies that went through the trouble to even add a mid control would also add just one more knob to allow you to sweep the midrange.Tonehammer and Paradriver both do and I own both.For me personally,it is so helpful! This pedal looks cool though.

I'd say that'd get rid of a lot of the VT/Ampeg tone though. The mids are where all the action is, hence why the Tonehammer seems really clean with no inherent tone in it.

A real SVT Classic has a 5 position knob for the mid-range frequency. The old ones had a 3 position switch, I believe. But if you want to change the character of the mids, that's what the Character knob does.

You could probably get Putnam to put in a mid sweep.

I assume the +10db 1/4 inch out will drive a power amp ?

Really? You certainly don't get the SVT tone with the tone hammer, but to say it has no inherent tone? def has the whole Aguilar vibe in that small (heavy) package.

Cool that they have finally got this out tho, took them awhile!

I had mike putnman put a VT2 into a rackmount with a di, phantom power, a 3 position speaker sim switch, an fdeck hpf3 and my own custom semi-parametric mid control that comes in after all of that. We both agreed that the mid control on the vt is too wide. Thats great if they put out the rackmount, but of course, there is no speaker sim button. Tech 21, why do you always, always, always, almost get there but then stop short. Why?

No. The VT DI is already being carried by Sweetwater. Just acquired a RBI. Guess I'll have to start socking away the bucks for the VT RM now.
