Santana collapses during concert (7/5/22)

Scary news, but reports are that it was heat exhaustion (much more common and benign than heatstroke) and he’s apparently going to be fine. A harsh reminder of the importance of hydration in hot and humid conditions. He’s quoted as saying that he didn’t hydrate or eat before the show. And age increases risk for heat injury, which gave him less margin for error.

We caught him and EWF last Friday night (July 1) at an outdoor amphitheater in St Louis, where the temp was in the 90s with high humidity. He rocked OUT for over 2 hours. Tight, energetic show with great playing by Carlos and his band. Played strong through the encore. Glad it doesn’t seem to be anything more serious. He’s a national treasure and a force for positivity.

Yeah this is where I'm at. I read this caption "Healthy 75 year old man, successfully lives the lifestyle of 25 year old man, but forgets to drink water".
