I love 2k5!
I have been playing since the day it came out. Best football game I have played in a long time. All my free time goes too ESPN NFL 2k5, ESPN College Hoops 2k5 and Half Life 2. It doesnt leave much time for bass and the family. It is a delicate balancing act to get my bass and video game fix without getting the fiance angry at me for not giving her enough attention.

Whatever you do, don't get Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (I don't know about KotORII, yet). I'd play for 13 hours and still it was almost impossible to stop playing. :) I haven't had a game keep me going until sunup since I got Quake II and my cable modem back in '98.

Yeah, Crib Credits suck.


I use the Eagles. They have without a doubt the best young talent overall, so I like using them. I'm on the 12th season with the Eagles, and so far we've won 12 Super Bowls:D

Give me Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES any day. :) I do like Backyard Football for the Gamecube though. I've never been much of a gamer. I always really loved the EA hockey games for the Genesis though... those were addictive.

I've always hated the Madden games. Ever since the first one on the Genesis, I just could never stand them. And God forbid anyone actually play that game with Madden's commentary. God he's an idiot. He's like the cenile old man who sits on the bench at the mall and rambles all day about pointless things. That phrase "don't be that guy"... well, no man exemplifies the usefulness of that phrase like John Madden IMO.

By the way, way off topic... anyone know where that phrase "Don't be that guy" originated? It's from a 90s movie... come on fellas. :)

That first comment had me thinking you were a cool dude, but after that second comment I had to strike your name from my list of cool dudes. :)

I know a couple buddies who hate all things Madden, and swear by the Sega games. For some it is a loyalty thing. For me, I just like Madden since I have played the series for years and I am used to it. I just turn off the Madden commentary, no biggie.

I'll take Super Tecmo over any of these new football games too!

Argh! I played as the Bucs against the Raiders and got pimpslapped left and right while on defense. I couldn't do a thing to stop the passing game, but they couldn't do a thing to stop my running game. But it doesn't matter how much yardage Alstott gets when Jerry Porter has 4 receptions for 200+ yards and 3 touchdowns.

Revenge time... I'll reenact how Gannon got injured... :D
