that's funny I saw them last night(Sunday 2-2-15) also, but in freedom hill Sterling heights MI. the big mushroom to the left would not inflate. Les used two pachyderm basses, the Dobro resonator bass,5 string electric stand up & 6 string fretless CT. I sat the same side of the stage as you but I was lots closer, HE HE. the thing I find that makes a Primus concert even more better-er is how great the sound is! eargasm all night!!! crystal clear tight bright & deep not to mention Larry's shark guitar & Herb one of my favorite drummers.tho no encore due to the bad weather. ghost of the saber tooth tiger Sean Lennon's band was really good!!, dinosaur Jr was a embarrassment. good times!!!

Wow! You guys partied like it was 1991!

I thought Primus broke up about 10 years ago...I remember when they "reunited" with Herb a bunch of years back and put out some sort of EP or something and subsequently disappeared again. I just figured they broke up.

Looks like it was a fun time for all the tens of people there singing along to Tommy the Cat!

Ah, good times. I gotta go find my Green Jello cassette now.

Saw Primus in Boston 7/25 at the Pavillion. It was a beautiful day/night. Ate raw bar a legals before the show. A decent show but I like them better in smaller, indoor venues. They did have great sound, you could hear every note and drum nuance, even though it was outside. Plus they had a cool show poster.
I never listened to Dinosaur Jr much, but I had heard that The guitar player has a massive sound. From what I heard massive means you can't hear the bass or drums. Didn't care much for them.
Missed the first band, I didn't know there was one until I got there.

Glad to hear that Sean Lennon's band was good live, I like the records he has made as G.O.A.S.T.T. Very much.

What was so bad about Dino Jr.? I saw them a few months back and they sounded exactly like Dino Jr. always has to me. You didn't suddenLy just realize that Jay can't sing and the guitar is way too loud, did you?
just not my cup of tea,I couldn't remember a single song by them & I was just underwhelmed. they get paid for doing that so more power to them. people like what they like, but I did not like.

Primus is always a good show. It was nice living in the SF Bay Area for much of my life; they played the area often. Best show with them was New Years many, many years ago (late 1990s?): Korn, Tool, and Primus.

I saw the same show this past Friday. Unlike many of the others experienced... Dinosaur Jr was on point for this show. I've seen them several times and this was the most talkative I've ever seen J Mascis. By that I mean he spoke to the crowd like 5 times during the set. He's so introversive, that's actually opening up for him. LOL. The crowd gave them a really warm reception.

On to Primus. Wow! What a show. They never disappoint! Like every Primus show... the crowd was full of diehard fans. Claypool appeared to be playing through 4 112 cabs but due to my angle I couldn't tell for sure what they were. Anyone know his rig for this tour? I saw them a couple tours ago and he was playing thru 2 Ampeg 410s. Just curious.
