SBL has come back with a great follow up of the Marcus Miller interview. Guy Pratt is always fun.
I was coming to post this just now. This is fantastic. Guy is so informative and funny. The more I realize what songs he’s played on over the decades, the more I realize the stuff I’ve copped off his playing. Great job SBL crew!
This was absolutely incredible to be a part of! Guy is such a legend. And we definitely have more of this kind of thing in the pipeline. Super excited for it all to come out.

Great, solid bass player. I love the fact that he plays such a variety of music which is what I've always strive to do and not just the funk thing.
Guy Pratt endeared himself to me because he sort of forgot how some of his famous lines go. I don’t feel so bad drawing a blank if I know someone of his caliber does it too.

What about some great doublers like Derrick Hodge or Christian McBride? Tye Tribbett would be a great choice too. Adam Blackstone would be interesting too since he works so much as a music director. I noticed that all of the players I mentioned are from Philadelphia.

We've done something with Derrick before, but would love to get him back in and do something in this new interview format. McBride... HELL. YES!

Yeah, would love to see Leon Sylvers do a master class on how he crafted some of those iconic basslines. I've seen quite a few interviews but they don't ask any musical or technical questions. I want to know about the basslines.

If I may, would you consider Marc "VW" Van Wageningen from ToP for an interview? I'd love to hear his perspective on taking over the bass chair for a legend like Rocco. Unbelievable show they put on here in my little hometown this past Saturday, and he was so good. Interesting hearing Rocco's lines played on a jazz bass as opposed to a P, but damn he can do those lines some justice. I spent half the show dwelling on what a mindbending experience it must be to take on such a high profile gig.

Should probably watch this. Some YouTubers/music guys make HORRIBLE interviewers. Their content is great but the way they interview is horrible. I’m talking to you, Warren Huart.
