SCAMMER ON CLASSIFIEDS

Yup I do believe I agree - today this person ([email protected]) sent the note below when I requested info on a Alembic Rogue that was offered via a PM. It sent up every red flag I know of. Also the pix that were sent are not of a Rogue. I reported my suspicion to TB admin. The bad news is this type of thing is happening more frequently - the good news is they are pretty easy to spot once you know what to look for. Do you know if Mica has been notified and or the Alembic Club is aware? I can take care of that if needed.

Watch out for [email protected]

As a matter of fact it looks like the same person by the wording in the email

Here's what I received after I posted that I was still looking for Birdsong Cortobass C-111 in the TB "Wanted" area

"Thanks for your response.. I have attached pictures for you to
view..it is in good condition and work perfectly well. There is no dent

This was his second email to me

I responded to his first email asking him specific questions about C-111 that I sold and to send me pictures

I was suspicious at the start by his poor gramer but the kicker was he sent me pictures he cut and pasted of a Birdsong Bass currently up for auction on eBay including the back of the headstock picture clearly showing
Serial C-112

I reporting him to Google as a Phishing Scam and was able to exchange emails with the owner of C-112 to let him know that this guy was using his pictures to try and sell his bass

This person just tried to sell me a Rivera Venus 6 amp head - he stole pictures from a closed Reverb.com listing and found my want ad on the Harmony Central classifieds. He said his paypal was [email protected] - I found one page that featured this number and attached the image below, Chinese?
