I'm having a problem with my Schaller strap locks:
Over time, the surface of the "button" (the part attached to the bass) seems to have lost its slick coating and the "latch" (the part on the strap) seems to be grabbing the button to the point that it rotates the button and loosens the screw that fastens it to the bass. I took one of my Spectors out of the case the day after a recent gig and noticed the screw was almost backed out. I'll bet one more song would have pulled the button off the bass.
Am I supposed to lubricate these things?
If so, with what? Applied where?
What's the secret?

Also, I have to tighten the strap lock nuts occasionally. A little LocTite will keep em secure.
