I really want to get a Schecter bass, because I think they sound great, but I'm wondering should I get the Stiletto Elite or the Stiletto Studio

I have the Elite and love it. But, I think the Studio's electronics are supposed to be cleaner. Enjoy.
I have the elite 5, which I really like, but I would love to get my hands on a studio 5. I don't know if there is much difference though. They are both neck through. The studio has 3 band eq compared to the elite's 2. Good luck to you. You can't go wrong with either IMHO. Rock on.

Yes, it does have an active 3-band EQ with two volumes. The EMGhz's are great, and in response to the other guy, i do find them cleaner than Elite's in some situations. This bass is very versatile, and can be used for many styles. The B is solid, and you can also string it with a high C, which is cool too. I would personally recommend the Studio, but either bass is great. My studio has played many shows and two tours, and still doesn't have a scratch on it. I've babied it too, but its a strong piece of wood. Let me know if you have questions.

Not that model specifically, but I've actually also found after some research that I've prefered higher end ibanez basses over anything schecter makes in terms of sound and feel.

Go with the Studio.
If I had it to do all over and knew what I know now, I would get the Studio over the Elite. (of course, knowing what I know now, I want to get a Lakland Darryl Jones 5er; but that's a different story).

I love my Studio 5. I just did some studio work with it, and it came out sounding great. Live, it's my go to, main axe. I get loads of compliments on its looks and the way it sounds from other musicians. Schecter is good stuff, for the most part.
Go for Studio, if you can afford it. I have Elite-5 and I love it, but if I had a Studio I'm sure I'd have loved it even more.
Go Studio. More versatility in the 3-band, and I feel the bass is rock solid. People always comment on the looks of the bass. Women seem to especially seem moved to comment on it. Go figure.
Stock they're Vol/Tone/3-band, now mine is Vol/Vol/3-band with Passive/Active switch and Series/Parallel push/pull pots on each Volume.
I liked mine well enough that I recently put custom wound Kent Armstrong Pickups in it in place of the stock EMG 40hz's, put different tuners on it, and am now putting individual string bridges on it all in black. So at that point I guess it will kind of be a custom Schecter.
Here it currently is minus the bridges that are on their way to me and not on the bass yet.
