Does anyone have any experience with them? I recently played a Schecter Hellraiser at a local music store and it played phenomenal. But does the quality last?

Does "quality" ever go away?? 
If it's quality, its quality. If it rocked your world, then buy it. It wont sound worse as time goes by although your expectations may change some, which may make you want something different.

I have Schecter Stilletto Fretless which I'll admit I don't use that much but only because I'm not a particularly good fretless player. In terms of quality I have no complaints whatsoever. The electronics and hardware are all very good quality and the build quality and finish is exceptionally good for the price. I'd say go for it. Schecter make fine instruments.

Yeah, but for some basses they may be more prone to breaking if their built cheap, That's what I meant anyway, may have worded it a little goofy.
Schecter's are not built "cheap". They are good basses for what they are. I own a Studio 5. If you liked it, I say go for it. They are usually priced right. You wont regret it...
I had a C-5 and I'd still have it if the string spacing had been wider.. It was well made and looked great, plus it sounded great but just to hard for me with my "breakfast sausage fingers" fatty and slow cooking.......
Anyone have experience with their 8-string basses? They seem awful tempting given my own Schecter experiences.
On most schecter basses i've set up you can get the action down super low without buzz. It's quite a joy to see.
Another vouch for quality and playability. My Omen-4 is a rock-solid workhorse. Aside from a scratchy blend pot, that's the only problem I've had with it.
I bought a Schector Studio 8 on a whim and LOVE it! It's not a guitar for every song ( I use 3 live: a 4,5, & 8 string...) but it plays beautifully, has a monster tone, and is built like a brick poo-poo house.

I've always been curious about Schecters. PLayed on a few in the store and they always felt and sounded pretty good for the price. My fear with cheaper basses is the electronics. Sometimes cheaper basses aren't shielded very well and will buzz.
you need not fear the schecter electronics. All of the ones I've tooled around with have been buzz free.
ive played a few, known a few people who own them. they all seem happy with the schecter product. and ive enjoyed toying around with them.
I'm kinda gunna tag in here. I've got my eyes set on a Stiletto Custom-4, I'm guessing it would be a good idea to keep my eyes on it huh?
