Ok so I bought this a year ago and I like the way if feels but it has a very bright tone. I am considering swapping out the pups. I really love the passive P-bass tone. Any suggestions regarding pups or preamps?

What kind of strings do you have on it? Changing strings might be a much easier/cheaper way to get the tone you want.
