Schecter Stiletto Extreme 4 Review

As a Bass player of 7 months, This bass fits every need a bass player could have. I'll be covering everything about this bass.

First of all, The neck. The neck on this bass is unbelievable. The smoothness and lacquer is reminiscent of a B.C. Rich neck. Not too bare, not too lacquer-ey. The neck is made of Maple, and has a rosewood fretboard, with 24 frets. The inlays on this neck are the coolest ive ever seen, tem being made with a combination of pearloid & abalone. And heck, Its a bolted on with SIX bolts!

Second, The body. You would not beleive the finish job and spectacular color of the mahogany body. An Eye opening velvet red-burst color with an amazing zebra-like pattern. The body is the the most comfortable body I've ever sat down or stood up playing with. No sharp edges will be found on this body as it is rounded to perfection.

Third, The hardwear and Internals. This bass is packed with two of Schecters very own humbucking, and active/passive, pickups. Black chrome tuners, knobs, and bridge accompany this bass. The four knobs are Volume, Blend, and active two-band EQ. It uses only a single 9V battery in the Internals bunker.

Fourth, Playability and tone. This bass was ready to play as soon as i took it out of the box. It sounds wonderful for all genres and I have yet to find a flaw in the tone. The neck is so easy to work up and down and can easily be played fast, or slow.

And Finally, overall review. This bass is a fantastic go-to for the intermediate - expert bass players. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I found the one I had a pleasant surprise..however I have read conflicting specs on whether the wood body is actually mahogany. I have read some specs that say it is basswood.....

I've read that too. I would believe that the body is basswood. especially since the bass is so light. mahogany has a little more weight and can absorb more sound. not to mention they have warm lows and good sustain.
