Schecter Stilettos - Neck Dive?

I have an Elite 5 and I have no problem w/ND...I use a wide suede leather strap so I know that helps alot & mine has the off center strap button. Try these 2 things and think your problem will be solved.

I have a Stiletto Elite 5 and I don't have any neck dive issues. I think it's because of the way I have the bass positioned on my body and because I have a neotech strap which helps reduce the weight over my shoulder.

Even with a big wide neoprene strap I always struggled with a 5-string Studio5 neck diving on me. Kept the bass for 6 years and gigged it ongoing, but it was always an irritation. And inevitably why I sold it. IMHO.

I was really into the Stiletto range, and had my local musicstore bring a Studio 5 from the national dealer, for me to try. I could´nt believe how poorly designed it was, the neckdive was so bad I could´nt play it while sitting down. I tried it with a strap, but with the extended range I could feel my fretting hand (and arm) cramping, from trying to keep the neck level. I was really surprised at how heavy it was as well.

"for me" my studio5 was hell bent on the neck going horizontal. Not really any further, but I was constantly tugging it upwards about 6 or 7 inches.

My Stiletto Elite 5 never has had any neck dive issues..
I use a 2 inch Levy leather strap with Grommets.
My Elite 004 in the background never had an issue either.

Studio 5FL, fretless High strap button, No neck dive whatsoever.

I use a Long Hollow Leather 2" softy strap.

Studio 5 with 3" leather strap, no dive. A little heavy but very comfortable to play.

Low strap button and this (or lower) is where the neck would always end up. In between tugs to reposition it like a pimp with saggy drawers. YMMV.

stiletto studio 6, strap button centered: no neck dive.

I've always assumed that the neck-thru construction vs. the bolt-on (like the custom) was where the neck dive issues came from, but apparently people with the studio are having similar issues? I personally don't have such a problem (bass is heavy as all get-out though)

Love my Stiletto 5. Great action. I guess the neck feels a little long, but never really thought about it.
