Schecter vs Warwick

Last year I was in a similar prediciment, i wanted a new bass and set my budget, then i played a Warwick and the next thing i know ive placed my order for a custom Warwick FNA.
My advise is to try as many basses that you can even some you may have initally disocunted

Hey boys I love Schecter(that mean I AM NOT SCHECTER BANSHER), I used to have Model T Diamond series same time as WW Corvette, I had kept Schecter and sold WW but still cant say that Schecter is definitely better.
Schecter with lower WW models are comparable
But and now here comes point - Schecter has better value/quality and looks DEFINITELY better!!!! :-D

WW are quality instr. but you pay more for same quality WW and you will look as alien from mars....especialy with corvettas "condom horn"

I've got a Schecter and I can say I was honestly surprised by it. A little over a year ago I needed an interim bass while I was getting some repair work done on my Pedulla. I went to guitar center with the intention of picking up a cheap Jazz bass, however I found this 5 string diamond series Schecter.

I played it a little bit and was so surprised I ended up getting that.
For under $600 I got a neck-through 5 string bass with active EMGs, something no other bass in that price range had (at least that day).
I figured it was a 'value' bass but it plays easy, sounds good, and I still use it. I've never noticed any problems with the build quality.

Here's my two cents,....I don't like WW, the neck, or the sound...sorry. I do like the Stilletto Custom 5, and thats what I"m buying for $550, its a good sounding bass. But, to ask these questions w/o playing the iknstruments for yourself. Good Luck!!!

thanks for all the opinions, it's really helping a lot
and yeah a lot of you guys are having the same thoughts as me. On one hand the Warwick has AMAZING sound i just fell in love with it right away, but the string spacing is kinda far for my liking. And the fact that it looks like there's a penis on the body is weird.
The Schecter has a nicer neck in my opinion, but the sound is nearly as good.
I really want to try the Lakeland 44-01, but is there another bass with the sound of as nice as a the Warwick with closer string spacings that i should also try out?
