Schematic for rewiring

I have a Hamer Slammer bass that has two soapbar passive pickups that currently use two pots for volumes for each pickup and one pot for tone. I want to rewire it to be one blend control pot that goes to one master volume control pot and to one tone control pot that feeds the output jack.

Anyone have a schematic and a parts list. I assume the master volume would be a 250k log taper and the blend would be a two gang pot. Not sure of the ohms or taper o the blend. Possibly it is 100k linear two gang?? I am not sure on the tone control. I guess I could measure the pot that is there and duplicate the capacitor. I also want to put in better pots and better knobs.

here is a diagram that is very similar to what you want.

keep in mind that a blend pot is equivalent of adding a 4th knob to your bass, and thus is going to darker your tone.

i would go for 500K for all 3 pots, which will give you a total resistance of 125K.

for the capacitor, go with whatever value you prefer.
do you want a darker tone control or a brighter tone control?
i prefer 0.047uF caps

as far as the taper, thats up to you...
an audio taper is going to be a little more even across the rotation.

Thank you very much. I also just found in a search a reference to look at the Duncan and StewMac sites that have some good info. So far, I agree with 500k and the .047 cap. All log tapers from what I found so far.
Any advice on where to order online high quality pots people use in bass guitars?

There is no difference between guitar pots and bass pots...
Its the same thing.

I ordered some capacitors and a control plate from Guitarpartsresource once, and they were pretty good.

:-) I know that. I have an electronics background and I have built high end studios for sound recording and ABC TV over the years. I needed some quick help on a schematic (the one you provided is perfect) and I wondered if there is a place where most people are buying quality pots. Your replies have been very helpful.
