just bit the bullet on a new lakland skyline hollowbody in shoreline gold from musician's friend! ended up paying just over $800 for her
(with the 20% call-in discount code "OCT20%"). i plan on putting one of these pickguards in white pearl on:

only downside is it is backordered. i'll have her in about 2 months. no case either. the only cases they sell for the hollowbody are cheap looking, but it seems like ive seen a nice molded case for it with a blue velvety interior, probably for the usa version. anyone know where i can snag one of those?

also, anybody have a pic of a hollowbody in shoreline gold with the pearl pg?

Hesitate no more!! I got all of mine without ever playing them first and ZERO complaints, and if you were to have any issue, you can call Lakland and they'll treat you like a VIP everytime.

For instance, I called Carl (Laklands setup and elec GURU) the other day about a humbucker that's acting funny. He said I could send it in for warranty work if I wanted, implying that he'd fix it free. I'm the 3rd owner, LOL!! Lakland's AWESOME!

i hopeim not bursting any bubbles here, but the new hollowbodies only come in sunburst unless it's NOS, i would have them call lakland and check on that

It really is. I picked up a 55-01 about a month ago and I can't put it down. It has to be one of the best 5ers that I've ever played and I really dig the tone. I've been checking out the Decade but I can't pull the trigger yet because I would have to put the 55-01 down.
