anyone know the dimensions of the hollowbody or a nice case that fits them? i dont like the case thats available and was going to see if i can find a better one. i'll post this in the log as well.

I too, just ordered a Shoreline Gold HB from MF with the Vets Day discount for under 9 bones shipped. On back-order they say. Looks like supposed to ship 12/11. I am really hoping it comes Shoreline Gold, chi's.

Lakland has to do runs of 30 of any color when they order it. Sometimes colors sit around for awhile and cross years and such at which point they discontinue the color and it is only available while the previous stock is available.
The first quote from Lakland sounds like..."it is a discontinued color but there are some left. So 3TS is the only color for all intents and purposes."
The second quote makes me wonder. I would be shocked if they put through another 30 of a color they think sells slowly just to appease some MF backorders. Perhaps they are trying to locate some old stock that other dealers have. Who knows.
The same thing happened with the Skyline Scheff. It took them forever to sell the first run in three colors so they decided to discontinue it. Then they did a special run of 30 in Shoreline Gold and from what I remember it was offered for two years even though it was built as part of one run.

I REALLY want SG, but I'd settle on 3TB. Maybe MF would give me an even further discount or something? The last 3 Laklands I bought have come right from the factory through Leo. Probably should have inquired again with him.

Yeah, I ordered my SG Hollowbody in Sept. and it is backordered until ? I hope they come through with that color. I would have bought the Inca Silver one that sold here last July in a heartbeat. That is one beautiful bass. I guess I'd take a 3TS, but I'd prefer a mettalic solid color.
