Scotch Variety Packs?

I put just a few ice cubes (on the rocks)..but not a whole glass of ice...just a few. I like it colder and when the ice melts it smoothes out the scotch...I don't know why I like it that way. i tried it with just a splash of distilled water like you mentioned, but I didn't like it being room temp.

I totally love this stuff- the only scotch I really like! Can't stand most "standard" scotches...most of them just don't do it for me. But the Dalmore is amazing...I've been a bourbon guy since I was about 16 or 17. Even back before I was legal in clubs, I could be found in the Sandpiper in Laguna Beach, happily drinking down my Beam and water, or Jack and water...both with a twist, of course. :D Nowadays I hardly drink, but if I do, I'll likely reach for either Jack and water or Dalmore neat. And a cigar...

i really like scotch at room temp, neat. just want the tast of the scotch and nothing else. to those who know me, no i havent started drinking again. just the 2 times a year i allow myself to have a scotch.........

I've never been a fan of any Johnnie Walker.... Blue Label is $200.00 a bottle :eek:. Some Scotch drinkers love the stuff, but I don't think it's worth even half that!

I worked as the Executive Chef at a restaurant with a cigar bar ... we would sell the heck out of it ... mainly to "big-wigs" who had more money than taste, trying to impress their friends with how much money they can spend. We would stock so many bottles of JW Blue Label and Grand Marnier 100 year (which I like) for these folks.

You betcha. I'd much rather have that than the Blue Label, although it's again wayyyy out of my budget if I want to keep my gear.

It might be worth having a shot of it some day if you can find it in a local bar, though it's a little like playing a Fodera or something for a few minutes -- sometimes it's best not to know what you're missing . . . :hmm:

This is my poison at the moment, its very very peaty so be warned but once you get used to the strange taste its wonderful. Definitely recomend it.
