Double Bass Scott Colley is no longer Underappreciated

Is Scott really underappreciated at this point? Definitely agree he's not as 'visible' as other players in some respects, but he's definitely made a mark. Over the past quarter of a century, even living down here in NC, I've seen him in concert 3 times (mostly with the Herbie Hancock group from the early 2000s with Terri Lynne Carrington and Gary Thomas when they came through Western NC), and he seems to be on almost any recording I pick up these days. For me, Scott is as ubiquitous on the modern jazz scene as Larry Grenadier and John Patitucci now. And we're all the better for having his talents to appreciate!
