so I have an SD QP Jazz V neck pickup left over from a project that I sold a few years ago. I am thinking of getting a bridge QP and popping these into my VMJV. I read on the SD site that they are sold individually or as a "calibrated pair"....since my pair would be manufactured possibly years apart, should I worry about "calibration"....or is it all just BS...a QP is a QP...?

Something like that never would have occurred to me. Don't worry about it.
The term "calibrated" is a very ambiguous description of a product.
What is the calibration design specs versus production line specs? Questions like that tend to spring up unless there is an exact specificity stated in the description.
In terms of what Seymour Duncan calls calibrated, it just means a set of neck and bridge spec pickups. You buy both at the same time, and save a few bucks. Like the Duncan 59 set, called the Vintage Blues SH-1

Seymour Duncan pickups are excellent quality and extremely consistent and unless your existing pick up was exposed to a high intensity magnetic field, thus weakening the magnets or other factors, you should be able to get a great sound mixing old and new pickups.
