Yep, nice bag! Wondered the same thing. Loss leader I think.

The box it comes in is comically large. I think that MF was just trying to get rid of their inventory. In August, when I bought the first case, they were carrying electric and acoustic guitar cases as well (and they were on sale). Those don't seem to be listed any longer.

Holy huge box!!! Great gig bag. Nice big pockets and an awesome shoulder strap. A little thin on padding but I actually like it less bulky. The zippers are top notch.
