I haven't seen any video footage of ferrets using stone tools.
They don't like anyone watching.... I lived with a couple of ferrets for several years back in the 80's and I can tell you they're intelligent enough and can use found objects as simple tools. They also exhibit some funny human traits, like hoarding useless objects they like. Ours had a fetish for Grolsch bottle caps and those little rubber rings. Found a whole pile of them when we moved the couch. :D

Ferrets are indeed very clever critters. They can be very strategic and are incredibly tenacious. Mine had a thing for hoarding bras and bass straps (amongst other things). He had a very clear idea of what belonged to him. :laugh: Miss that little guy.
