Sean Malone

To be honest the only things I was really familiar with by him were his transcriptions of Jaco and Stanley Clarke that he's done so I looked up some videos on YouTube and found this:

I couldn't help but think, "If Jaco played metal this is what it would sound like."

Malone: he just seems to defy what is possible, tonally on a fretless. His tone, pitch accuracy, and sense of melody is superb. His low notes sound insanely good on recordings.

Smiling: a genuine smile is a wonderful thing. A forced smile is so...fake. When someone is uncomfortable, they often have a fake smile. We have a lot of that thing in American culture. I like the genuine article, whether it is a smile or a frown. :). :(

Meh. I've been told the same thing most of my life. Some people just don't find it natural to needlessly smile, especially when focusing.
Me too.I'm serious by nature.
Annoys the crap out of me when someone tells me to smile.
Especially when it's some DUDE!
What dude cares about the facial expression of another dude?

For me it's like dealing with super friendly religious people. I just can't deal with people who are too nice. I just feel like they are up to something. I travel in hippie circles and whenever someone calls me brother I instinctively grab my back pocket to check for my wallet. I also hate replacement swears like sugar or fudge. It isn't the word it is the intent. I know what you intend to say so just say it.
