I've never worried about someone walking away with my head. More concerned about basses. The laptop cable is a good idea, but another simple solution to consider may be to ratchet strap the head to the cap. Not 100 percent theft proof, but would delay any potential thief long enough that it would likely deter them.

However I really can’t throw stones in my glass house either. I will say the oversized rack ears on mine balance it out from a visual perspective.

Put a gag rubber dog turd on it. Or better yet, rubber puke splatter…it would probably look more realistic for the situation.

Man...how rough are the venues you're playing, that someone might lift your micro amp when you're on break? Shoo...
I was at a gig with a buddy of mine, outdoor patio, dude snatched his acoustic guitar off the stand and ran down the street. He was FAST. Never saw the guitar again. But that’s not a bass head, is it?
Use locking speakon cables. Thieves act on chance and easy pickings. If they can't grab and go within a few seconds they won't both trying to work out how to unplug it.
But I agree with other sentiments. Play in better places!
That said, I bought an inexpensive kindle fire for places I don't want to risk taking my iPad Pro. We play all sorts of places from Hells Angels clubs, to pubs and bars, to weddings and corporate functions. Funny thing is I'm least worried about theft at the biker clubs. They're self policing. Any whiff of trouble or theft is swiftly dealt with.

Id say the laptop cable attached to cab is good. If the case won’t allow it you can remove the case to drill a hole. Or you could even take it to a glass/plastic shop and have them custom fabricate a lucite case that you could then lock to the cab. It would cost less than you think.
My D class heads are fixed to the cabs by the Neutrik cables.
I have heard of guys leaving stuff behind. On the stage, in the car park and on the side of the road, but never heard of anything stolen from the stage while the band is set up to play.
