Double Bass Securing loose clicky pickup cord

For both a mic cable or a pickup cord, I just weave it through the space at the top of the bow quiver and the tailpiece. The Soundclip comes with a little Velcro strap that will allow you you to strap the cord to the tailpiece pretty snuggly, but I never use it....

I use Faber Castel Tack-it to hold the Ehrlund EAP in place. As far as the cable goes, you can either shorten it or wind it into a coil.
Whether it will work or not is hard to say, but it’s worth a shot.

I had seen pictures with what looked like the cord laying against the body, didn't know how they managed that without it clacking.

The adhesive that came on the pickup seems ok for now, but will probably wear down quickly, so I appreciate the suggestion on how to fix that.

Thanks!

Nite Ize GearTie, available for just a few bucks at your local hardware store. Pull the pickup cable taught and cinch at the tailgut to keep from rattling against the bass body. I keep a couple spares in the pouch of my carrying case.
