That only says assembled in NYC...
My suggestion is the Mesa D800
"Assembled in NYC" is Marketing speak for "made in some country that name dropping wouldn't add to perceived value"

You're being sarcastic, right? How efficient would this be, with a preamp of choice??? The price seems right!
It looks like it would pair nicely with an SCR-DI...

It's made for amateur home audio. RCA inputs don't match up with any bass preamps that I know of, and banana speaker jacks haven't been used on bass speakers for decades. Better off putting the $90 towards real bass equipment.
And "Made In USA"!Oh, and the OP insists on having a cooling fan...

A $1,000 is cheap? The Bergantino Forte? Has fan, made in USA, cheap ( $ ) , weighs about 5 lbs.
A $1,000 is cheap?

Get a Traynor SB200. It’s made in Canada, sounds amazing, is inexpensive, and is built like a brick shithouse. Which should be close enough. So I was set on the 'engineered in Denmark' TC BAM200, it seemed like an inexpensive ankle biter. Quick, cheap, easy for practice, home and away. However, I personally require fan cooling and made in USA.

Um....I don’t know what an ankle biter is, in regards to bass amps. Sorry.
