Double Bass Seeking info on a Bass

Hi all ! Let me start with what a great place this site is for info and learning. I've been a bass player for a long time but just recently got my first upright. It was a birthday present from my family and I absolutely love it. I"ve been trying to find some info on it with no luck so I was hoping someone here might could help. It's a Karl Knilling 1/2 size. The numbers on the label are 18501 1301H. I'm not as much worried about value (its priceless to me) more so how old it is, plywood? Laminated? Carved? etc. The Knilling site lists a similar one(I think) but says it has a flat back. My has an arched back. Any info would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

You'll have to post some good pictures for me to be able to tell you much about it. Some years ago I think that St. Louis Music in of all places, St. Louis, purchased the name and as far as I know they still use it. I've seen some of the older Knillings that were pretty good basses and some newer ones that aren't.

I'll get some pictures taken in the next day or so and try to get them posted. The only thing I have to compare it too is the Cremona SB-2's that my store carries. Even though mine's smaller it sounds better and is a little louder. I know that's not saying much.
