Seventies-vintage "any guitar" are not investment vehicles but they are cool to have and often fun to play when you want to change things up. If you need to be talked into selling a bass, then you probably shouldn't be selling it.

I'm at the point where when I start thinking about selling, I should probably sell. Someones gonna love it and take care of it somewhere.
Seems like the '72 has passed squarely into "investment" territory. If its only value to you is money, what does that really mean? You want money now? Sell it. You want money later? Keep it and hope for the best.
