Send for tuner out?

So I have an older amp that doesn't have a tuner out, I have it rack mounted. I also have a tuner rack mounted. I was messing around today and used the send jack on the amp and went into the tuner. It works fine but I wanted to check if any problems could happen from doing this? I am not returning it to the amp via the return jack. Is this okay to do this way?

should be fine, the signal may be pretty hot so if the tuner acts odd, try turning the input level on your amp down a bit while tuning. Clipping the tuner generates a lot of harmonics, which makes it difficult for the tuner to discriminate the fundamental from.
