come on, i’m asking you to send pictures!!! i have a maple fingerboard walnut jazz on the way so i’ll soon be able to show mine off in due time, but how many of you guys chose a maple fretboard on a nice jazz bass as opposed to the usual rosewood fretboard?
‘98 Fender USA J5 Dlxe.... preamp removed. 8 pounds. Single volume knob with pickups hardwired in parallel with tone full up… I call him One-eyed Jack.
My 2016 American Fender Standard Jazz. P/G is after market Original was white, which I still have. And now some Jazz type basses with Maple FB 2010 Dean Hillsboro J Active 2009 Dean USA Hillsboro J Prototype Passive 2015 Dean Juggernaut Passive 2018 Retrovibe by Chowny Volante Passive with series switch Last is a P/J I know, but the body is more J.
i found this oddity online some time ago. part of me really wishes they had the maple fretboard option in the 60s because something about maple fretboard 60s jazz basses just looks kinda cool.
Fender AmStd in Olympic White with an aftermarket guard and d-tuner. Really sweet neck on this; I just wish the pups were a hair thicker and more aggressive. Great all around bass.
