Hi,
This is my first post.
I have been playing bass for 20 years, professionally for about 15. In the past year I have been suffering from intermittent sensitivity when pressing the strings, mainly in finger 2. I have rested up over the christmas break and am due to start rehearsing next week, however the finger pain is worse than ever. I know the callouses are softer due to the break but I dont think the pain should be this severe. I have seen a hand specialtist and am having tests done to rule out cubital & carpal tunnel syndrome & thoracic outlet syndrome. So far tets have come back negative. I still have a few to go. To me the pain feels like a nerve thing. I am also experiencing pain in the forearms, neck & shoulders. I have regular physio, do pilates, and chiro.
Has anybody experiened similar problems? Any help appreciated!
