sensitive skin

Anybody else have a very sensitive skin?
What do you do about it?

I use baby shampoo.
Unsented baby soap.
Unsented cloth soap.
No downy or anyhting else like this or my skin will be very itchy.

This morning I had to shave my beard because I had a lot of dry/dead skin underneath it.
I keep my hair shaved also partly because of that.

Latex gloves eat my hands up. I have to wear them when using acid that I etch my damascus blades in. I've tried none latex gloves and they won't stand up to the acid or aren't large enough. Sometimes I just go with bare hands and rinse them as fast as possible

I spent some time surfing the internet for other options and I have some samples on the way. There seems to be a lot of people with the same problem I have!!

I use regular tide. As long as I don't use anything else with it, I'm fine.

my skin is really sensitive in the winter months.

I'm the oposite - my skin gets very sensitive during the summer..... The heat rash and generally sensitive skin gives me itchy nights in bed during the hot summer nights. I have to be careful what deoderant and detergents I use.

I gre a goatee partially to reduce my shavable part of my face as shaving sometimes can even leave small rash marks on my face.

My neck is really sensitive so I only shave every other day. Different shaving lotion/cream doesn't really make a difference.

Use non-latex under the latex.

That's what I do, as well as many surgeons. It does a fantastic job of keeping the formaldehyde (or whatever) OUT.

I still use latex gloves, no problems with allergies or reactions yet, although many have. The nitrile gloves I have tried seemed stiff and diminished tactile sensitivity. The hospital squawked about the expense, but they will get over it. Probably just raise the price of tylenal to $75.

I haven't shaved with a blade razor since the 70s. Used to cut myself every time. I also gave up tanning - I fry like a piece of bacon in the sun. Then it peels off.
