serial number help!!

hello all i need a little help, i have been looking for info on a mim fender jazz with serial number MZL115946 if anyone could help that would be awesome, i am about to buy it but i can find anything with mz L

From the Fender website. Are you sure it is not MZ1?

Personally the only instruments I even bother caring about the serial# are American made but to each his own.

ya i just got back from buying it, it was clearly a 1 but its weird ive never seen a mim with a birdseye neck and raised pickup poles on the a and d strings, strange

Mine has a flamed maple neck.
