serial #

Hi.

So that unscrupulous people don't claim that the bass in question is stolen and is, in fact, their own.

At least that's why I figured that it was done.

It's been said that for every early 70's Gibson LP serial number, there's at least 3 Tokais and other dead-on copies with the Gibson logo and a matching serial number. And a price tag to match.

All because of the bright idea of using totally untraceable serial numbering system.

The same probably goes for most of the vintage Fender products as well, not to mention all the companies that used a less than accurate serial numbers.

Regards
Sam
