Series Parellel Switch

It switches between two wiring possibilities in your pickup - series and parallel. It's easier to explain what that is with a diagram, so please just Google/Wikipedia it. It's easy to find and easy to understand.
A series/parallel switch is a switch that changes the configuration of two sources (Either two pickups, or the two coils within one pickup if it's a humbucker) from series to parallel.
Parallel:
Series:
"L1" and "L2" represent the two pickups or coils in question. (Ignore "Ln")
One white circle represents the output, and the other represents ground.
A series/parallel switch allows you to switch between these two configurations.

As for what to expect tonewise. Series is fuller sounding, while parallel is brighter with less mids.
