Setting intonation at the bridge

IF you were to want to change strings, it does make sense to do your neck and strings at the same time.. then do your bridge.

IF your strings are fine - go for it.

Seriously though, you need the strings on obviously. Just remember that the saddles will not move when you loosen the adjuster screws (to make it sharper) so you may have to push them with your fingers (the string tension holds them in place). Also you will have to retune the open string every time you move the saddles.
