Setup & action

Hey Justin -

First, let me second everyone else here in expressing how cool it is that you're doing this. I bought Sea Change when it came out and loved it, but as a result of this forum I've become much more aware of your playing which is inspirational to say the least.

So . . . I apologize if this has been addressed before, but I did a search and didn't find anything. I'm interested in how you like your basses set up. Do you have specific parameters for neck relief and action? In case it changes too much from bass to bass, I'm especially interested in your P-Bass setups.

Peace!

Thank you very much!

I don't have specific parameters on setups for my bass, I just set them up based on feel. Sometimes certain basses feel or sound better with higher action than I might otherwise use. In fact, as time goes on, I find that I prefer the sonic benefits of higher action over a slinkier, faster feel.

Justin,

Would you please post pics of all your basses showing the actual measurement of action height? ; )

Just trying to be funny considering the last post about your gear.

I wanted to chime in and say I agree with the OP about becoming aware of your catalog since meeting you on the board. It's been a fun process, and I thank you for sharing your insight.
