good band,but their bass player makes me mad sometimes,he plays like 1 note throughout a whole song sometimes and he doesnt do much ever...hows he play how he plays (if anyones seen him) he like thrashes at the fretboard when hes playing instead of playing where hes supposed to,hows he do that so hard and crazy without hitting other strings and sounding like crap?

I definitely like their singer!

Their performance of "Waffle" on Conan O'Brien was great. Definitely sounds better live than on CD; they really should've made the rhythm guitar a lot louder on the recording. The ambient noise created by the tapped note and volume swells really changes the feel when it's louder, and it's great.

Their bass player has surprising good tone live, too, for how low he tunes with the light strings he uses. I just don't like how he plays it...

i like 7 dust, i think the bassist is good at his role with them too. i read that he has several different basses, the one he was playing in the pic in the article looked like a les paul bass, i also remember him saying when he was asked about his strings, that he may as well be using telephone pole wires, as he uses an extremly heavy guage,

ps: i agree with Angus on the singer, that guys good, he can actually sing

I beleave it's an Epiphone, as their guitarists are endorsed by that brand (I think). He also uses a p-bass. (into an SVT of course:))

I realy like the band, but they use way to many effects. I saw one of them on guitar.com, and the dude kept saying "I wish I had the effect, but..." before playing every riff. It sounded fine without them tho.

And, of course the singer's good. Up until Sevendust
he was singing in an R&B band!

Nono, like telephone wire because they're LIGHT, and with his tuning, they flop around a lot. He uses a .125 to tune to Ab...that's smaller than I use to tune to B!

man i know what i read and he said he used a heavy gage in this article i read. If I can find it scan it and post it

I saw them a year or two ago, and thought they had a good sound. The bass player was playing his Les Paul bass and it was just about dragging on the floor. The same one he plays in the video for "Denial". The video was kind of weird because they were in some sort of cage(?) with peopl hanging and sitting everywhere.
