Eleca Bass Amp Head 300W EB-300H

I have some Peavey Headliner 210 cabs laying around and have been looking for an affordable amp to drive them. By affordable I mean CHEAP. Craigslist has interesting items but you never know what you're getting (poor functioning or stolen). So I've been looking at these Eleca heads and wondering if they're any good. 300 watts is adequate for my present needs and most major brands are made in China anyway so I'm thinking these are worth looking into. Especially for the price. Anyone have any experience with these amps or Harley Benton heads?

There's going to be a huge qualitative gap between the items made in China with strict quality control and supervision, and similar items made in China to be as cheap as possible. This is clearly on the "as cheap as possible" side.

Check out Guitar Center's online used section....you could get a GK Backline 600 for close to that and it'll be a far better amp. Plenty of Hartke and Peavey heads that are really affordable too. At least then you have an amp from a reputable brand...you can also get coverage from GC if you want, and there's a 45-day return policy if it's just not your jam.

It doesn't. I'm a hypocrite. Most of my recent purchases have been from Sweetwater.

Sweetwater has a Gear Exchange for items sold by private party. I've sold a couple amps there. You get buyer's protection there too.

I would never buy something that puts out power from cheap and unreliable sources. Especially not from China. Think of all the stories about defective chargers and powerbanks and the like. No way. Not worth the risk.

I concur, a TC electronic, Eden WTX, or higher quality used head would provide more peace of mind, vs the possible “made to fail” biz model of the here today gone tomorrow offering would likely be a better route.

Harley Benton is known for cheap stuff that seems to be of value and popular from well known company they also have 30 day return and 3 year warranty
