Hey, that bass is from my home country! He used to make more metal-ish looking (for lack of better word) basses but this one is nice indeed. Thou i must say they lack consistency in quality sometimes (at least the 20+ basses/guitars i tried over the years).

Nice bass you got there thou!

o, serbus slovenc, hvala :)

It's really good work.
First I told Sever how should my new bass look like and what sounds i want. Than he told me, what he can do (make) and that is i think ... . .endless combinations. And then i over slept a month and was studying basses like newer before. Then i came on this "model"... and with some Sever suggestions it came out like this.
I like this human touch. Didn't want a bass which is made like near every little cheap thing on this planet.
Me, my bass and the maker are a family.

cheers!

Lepo slišat domači jezik tudi tule, hudimana! :D

Being from same country i must say im itchy for a test drive, hehe, but honestly, i dont play much anymore, at least for last 5 or so years.

C'mon, post some soundclips at least, the 'modern' looking Severs never really appealed to me, but if this one sounds as sharp and dangerous as it looks, kudos to Sever!

How do the pickups sound - very P-like or more modern?

And if i may ask, how much money did ya spend and how long it took him to make one?

Sorry it took me so long to answer.....
I stil have no time to put some sounds on the web.
The pickup is much more agresive as a P-original.
Maybe u and my bitch get together one day, u never know ;)
Money is a secret.. . .for now... . ..
oo, and he made it in less then 3 months.

lep pozdrav Slovenc!

Money is a secret for now, eh? :-P

3 months is super quick, at least from hearing teh 3-and-more-years-waiting-time horror stories from other members here.

Looking at bass, its only proper that it sound more agressive then your every day P. Whats its weight anyway?

I dont really play anymore, but our country being small, you never know when we'll stumble upon each other! Im sure ill recognize the bass :P

@ vbasscustom,
;)

@ Duplo42,
I have no weighing machine. But it's quite the same if i put down the Ibanez sdgr400 and take this bitch on me :)
I think it's in between 4 and 4,5kg :) cause of the light alder body.
And it's a bit heavyer than an every day P. with this kind of woods, cause of the electronics, the battery and the stainless steel pick guard.
Do u still have your bass-es?
And where do u live?

Hey, comrade,

iz ljubljane, hehe, če boš kaj z basom naokoli šibal, se pa oglasi oz. kar tukaj napiš, delam v samem centru, pa mi je vse 'usput' :)

The weight of your bass is quite ok, comparing to my custum made MM, built by local luthier:
one piece mahogany about 6cm thick,
heavy-duty bridge,
thick ebony fingerboard,
chunky oak (i think) neck,
Schaller tuners,
Bartolini MM p-up, all in all about 6kg. Sitting while playing, my leg always went numb or had to wear seriously padded strap so my back didn't go kaput...

Unfortunatly, only body is left... :-/

I have couple of basses, mostly all beaten-to-death, favorite being old fretless p-bass copy with inch-high action and banana-like neck :D

Nope, i was planning on changing the neck to more beefy one with maple fretless fingerboard, so old neck went away, but unfortunately never got back. Then i bought 5 stringer that i really liked and never got around to have new neck made.

Ne, nisem, bom pa pogledal in kaj objavil :)

Still, you could post some soundclip, if you'll ever get around. You play with pick? Should have good sound with pick imo....
