A little expensive but it sounds better than most of the other ones out there except the Future Impact but with the Fooz it looks like most of the controls are right on top instead of having to use a computer to tweak it. Looks like I am going to try one soon.

Yes. You have up to 8 different things and any combination thereof that can be controlled via the expression pedal by selecting the dip switches as seen in the photo -

I’m very sad to report that this pedal is unusable. I either got a bad one or it’s a horrible design flaw. When both engaging and disengaging the pedal there is a very noticeable signal dropout/delay. I’ve never used a pedal in my 20 years behind the bass that has ever done this. They all have been seamless. Some might pop, but I’ve never had an actual dropout.

If it’s by design you can bet they will be seeing a lot of returns. Other than that, there’s plenty of bells and whistles on there. I can’t really call it a true synth, but more of a highly manipulative fuzz/trem/envelope mixed into one. I could find some very close Les Claypool/Primus weird sounding fuzz/envelope settings in it, all the way up to a Brassmaster on steroids type of fuzz.

I hope anyone who ordered one has a better experience than me! Now to go through the return process...

Unfortunately no. While it has tons of options for tones it’s just not quite right for what I’m looking for. If you’re going to spend this much coin on something that is synth related I think I’d save up more for one that can save settings. You’ll be spending lots of time dialing it in, which is part of the synth process of course, but not being able to recall those settings without marking it down or on the pedal is an unfortunate downside.

Oh and two thumbs up for Chicago Music Exchange’s return process. They sent me a return label with no questions asked.
