seymour duncan pickup windings

I recently got a really good deal on an SJB-1 bridge pickup for my jazz bass. I noticed that the 60 cycle hum is no longer eliminated with both pickups on full. I was planning on replacing the neck pickup also, but I got a great deal on just the bridge, so I bought it. Anyway, I have heard that duncans have the pickups wound reverse from fender, and that's the reason I'm still getting the hum. I just figured I'd check on here because I was going to buy a cheaper pickup, (not duncan) and now I don't think I should.

So what your saying is that the pickup is not RW/RP from your current neck pickup, correct?

If that's the case, i don't believe that it's possible to hum cancel.

Just switch the 2 leads from the duncan.
They describe this on their website.

used together, they’re out of phase with each
other. If you’re combining your Basslines
pickup(s) with Fender® pickup(s) in the same
bass, you’ll need to reverse the black and
white wires on the Basslines.

allright thanks I think I'll do that because buying a new fender neck pup would be cheaper on ebay
